We need to take a step back and really consider why we are using AI. If the main goal is just speed, we might miss the bigger picture. AI isn't a magic solution for understanding how to grow a product. In fact, I believe it still falls short in helping us figure that out.

AI is provides biggest value in increasing velocity of the process. If we only focus on speed, we risk overlooking the essential skills needed for product growth. I feel that AI can generate code and provide some insights, but it can't replace the deep understanding of growth strategies, ultimately rendering us faster to the realization of not knowing how to grow a product. This is crucial because, ultimately, growth requires human intuition, experience, and insight.

This perspective matters because it challenges the common belief that AI can solve all our problems and we stick too tightly coupled to the notion of coding being solved. The tension lies in the balance between using AI for efficiency and acknowledging that true growth comes from a solid understanding of the market and the product itself. We generate code like crazy and LoC is our metric to success (is it?), but on the other hand did we really gain on velocity, or we tried to solve another to-do app?
